The Impracticality of Modern-Day Mastodons

By Rachel Teagle
In this UIL, childhood dreams have all come true, and the world is full of astronauts, ballerinas, princesses, and all jobs big and small. It’s a glorious new world for everyone but Jess, who wanted to be a mastodon when she grew up. Jess and her boyfriend Clarence, now Clint, must learn to accept their troubled relationship as Jess begins to find herself through her new Mammoth-like figure. It's an offbeat comedy about ambition, vocation, and restlessness, all through the wish of a selfless child.

Our version stars Senior Olivia Guerra, Junior Teo Petrov, and Junior Max Victory.

Queens

By Kristen Doherty

Queens reimagines the six wives of Henry VIII not as rivals, but as women united beyond the confines of history. Set in a limbo-like afterlife, the queens confront the stories that defined them and the legacies that reduced them to a single line in a rhyme. Through sharp dialogue, dark humor, and poignant reflection, they challenge one another and the audience to reconsider who they truly were beyond their marriages. As alliances form and tensions rise, each woman fights to reclaim her identity and reshape her narrative.

Our version stars Junior Harman Narang, and Sophomores Jiya Desai, Claire McSpadden, Clara Lane, Rika Okuda, and Claire Nevels.

SIX: The Musical

By Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss
Six reimagines the six wives of Henry VIII as popstars who finally get the chance to tell their own stories. Framed as a modern concert, each queen steps forward with her own signature style, blending contemporary pop sounds with sharp humor and bold choreography. As they compete to prove who endured the most under the infamous king, their stories reveal the heartbreak, betrayal, ambition, and strength that history often reduces to a rhyme. What begins as a rivalry gradually shifts into a powerful exploration of identity, solidarity, and rewriting the narrative on their own terms.

Our version stars Freshmen Jalina Suarez, Kaylee Carpenter, Abigayle Thompson, Ziva Kays, Autumn Behera, and Cora Cassity.
